Our commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion has provided our clients with real value demonstrated through the ability to speak over 5 different languages, providing creative legal services, and offering a wide array of points of view. This combination allows our attorneys to deliver innovative solutions and results that best benefit our clients’ needs. This is a key element of our growth strategy.
Diverse Attorneys and Staff
Our certification in the Southern California Minority Business Development Council, an affiliate regional council of the National Minority Supplier Development Council, and the California Public Utilities Commission Supplier Clearinghouse, relies upon the percentage of minority ownership, as well as the breakdown of diverse and women professionals and staff of AlvaradoSmith.
AlvaradoSmith recognizes and appreciates its responsibility to serve as a model for inclusion and encourages, respects, and values individuality of its employees and attorneys.
In addition to our principle of diversity and inclusion, we boost a multigenerational workforce. These aspects have allowed us to create a dynamic professional environment rich with experience, exuberance, and gamut of varied skills and talents. The experience at each level allows us to provide successful and cost-effective legal services.
We are committed to the development of our professionals and recognize that they drive our success and growth. Our mentoring program uses an innovative and collaborative approach in mentoring Associates through earlier and more meaningful training and skill development. Our goal is to develop attorneys who better understand our clients’ business objectives and how to practice law and deliver value far earlier in their careers. This is a long term investment in our Firm, our Associates’ and our clients’ futures.
AlvaradoSmith's Women's Leadership Forum
AlvaradoSmith has developed a group of women attorneys devoted to promoting the interests and progress of women lawyers within AlvaradoSmith. This group has created an active forum for the firm’s management and its attorneys to discuss concerns and solutions to issues women professionals face. The group regularly hosts notable speakers to discuss societal problems confronting women that include judges, in-house counsels, and business development experts, as well as providing tools, skills, and opportunities to best advance individually and professionally.
With 10 practice areas extending from Business and Corporate law to more specialized areas such as Financial Institutions, our multi-disciplinary practice allows us to draw upon collective experience to best advise our clients across a wide-range of industries and capacities.
