Veronica Delgado has 22 years’ experience in the legal profession, and more than a decade working as a paralegal for AlvaradoSmith. She has become a cornerstone of AlvaradoSmith’s legal practice, handling matters at the state, federal, and appellate levels. She has a wide range of experience, including case management, calendaring, factual and legal research, document production, preparation of deposition subpoenas and other documents for legal transactions, drafting pleadings and letters, and providing assistance at closings and comprehensive trial support.

Veronica is bilingual – proficient at professional communication in both Spanish and English and serves as a Notary Public for the State of California. With nearly four decades of legal secretary and paralegal experience, Mara Schwark skillfully orchestrates the assistance attorneys at AlvaradoSmith rely on to deliver effective and strategically-focused legal services.

Mara has an extensive background in financial institutions litigation, employment and complex business litigation, and supports attorneys on cases ranging from defending small business owners in wage and hours claims to representing leading energy sector corporations in multi-party commercial, contract and tort disputes.

Mara’s work is essential to AlvaradoSmith’s success. In particular she excels at promoting cost efficiency, fostering client collaboration, and case and file management. She assists in all phases of litigation and alternative dispute resolution such as mediation and arbitration. Her work includes conducting legal research, document collection and analysis, fact development, discovery requests and responses, trial preparation and trial support, and keeping clients up to date on every stage of their matter.

Mara regularly works with the latest litigation support and courtroom technology in preparation of large electronic document productions, and is skilled in case and file management and tracking complex litigation and arbitration.
Mara is a member of the San Francisco chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators, and supports and participates in various events with the San Francisco/Marin Food Bank and the American Cancer Society.
